The Race Continues

While the votes received numbers continue to grow as 80,000 early and 12,000 provisional ballots have yet to be counted, a runoff election with Donna Wallace seems to be direction from the primary. The good news is that I received over 1200 votes more than her so far. This gap between her and I will continue to widen.

Thank you Mayor Elect Tibshraeny, Mayor Dunn, Councilmembers Trinity Donovan, Jeff Weninger, Bob Caccamo, Rick Heumann and Jack Sellers for your continual support, encouragement and endorsement in the November election.

Primary Election Results

I came in a solid third in total votes in a race for three seats for City Council. While I did not have enough votes to win outright, I collected almost a thousand votes more than the person that I am vying with for the Council seat. The good news is that I am still in the race, the bad news is that the finish line moved back until November!

FAQs

I have knocked on thousands of doors as well as talked with additional thousands at public venues in Chandler and have a list of commonly asked questions.

1. Are you a Republican or a Democrat? Answer: The City Council Race is nonpartisan, there are no R’s, D’s or I’s listed on ballots. With that said, I am a fiscally conservative Republican.

2. Why do you want to be on Council? Answer: I believe that I have the experience, wisdom and temperment to serve Chandler and lead our city during these difficult times.

3. What are your priorities? Answer: Bringing jobs to Chandler, keeping the city financially sound and keeping our community a safe place to live, work and play.

4. to be continued…

Early Ballots

If you have registered to vote by mail like I have, you should receive your ballot today or tomorrow (July 30 or 31st). This election could well be decided in the primary. Thank you for checking out my web page; I hope I have your vote. It would be an honor to serve Chandler for the next four years.

Arizona Republic endorsement

The Arizona Republic endorsed me today. They recognized my service to Chandler as a former Councilman, current Planning and Zoning Commissioner and Chair of the Chandler Census Committee. Combining service with my collaborative skills and vision for the future makes me a great Councilmember in their eyes. (I agree!)

More Endorsements

Thank you Chandler Police (Chandler FOP), Chandler Councilmember Jack Sellers  and  Planning and Zoning Chairman, Mike Cason for your endorsements today.

Candidate Forum

Tonight I had my second forum with all the candidates for Chandler City Council. Being a fiscal conservative with vision, ability to work with people and a history of effective leadership is what people see in me.

Momentum

Campaigning for a political office is consuming, but the good news is that  momentum continues to build around my campaign.  This past month, dozens of friends have taken thousands of my door hangers and walked their neighborhoods. I have several “meet and greet” parties planned this month. Community leaders have entrusted me with their endorsement and dreams of the future.

I humbly ask for your support. I would be honored to receive your assistance to be elected  in the primary in August. Early ballots are dropped in the mail at the end of July. I have yard signs, door hangers and open mornings and evenings to meet people. Financial support is always welcome.

Thanks!
