Vice Mayor Kevin Hartke is officially running for the office of Mayor of Chandler. Hartke has served on the Chandler City Council for almost seven years and has been appointed twice by the City Council to serve as Vice Mayor. Chandler has seen great recovery and prosperity during his terms in office, being recognized as one of the top cities in the nation in regard to prosperity, safety, desirability, education and transparency.

I find Chandler to be a great community in which to serve. Serving is what I am about. I am in the middle of my second term as a Council member and in the middle of my second opportunity to serve as Vice Mayor. Ten years ago, the thought of serving on City Council, Vice Mayor and as Chandler’s next mayor was not in my mind.
